These delicious, dried black beans come from our friends Regi and Amy Haslett-Marroquin at Salvatierra Farms in Northfield, Minnesota. The first beans they grew in Minnesota came from the seeds Regi's ancestors have been passing down through the years. Regi has worked for decades adapting these beans to northern soils and climate.
Cooking Instructions: Clean beans thoroughly to remove any specks of dirt or rocks that could have ended up in the bag. Pour package into crock pot. Cover the beans with 2 inches of water. Add a teaspoon of salt, 1 garlic clove, and 2 tablespoons of salsa. Cook for 6 hours on high or until creamy.
