About Us
Little Hill Berry Farm is owned and operated by Aaron Wills and Molly McGovern Wills with their 2 children, Ben (11) and LuElla (9). Molly was born and raised in Northfield. Aaron is a transplant from Sauk Centre, MN. Running the farm is Aaron's full-time job while Molly teaches 2nd and 3rd grade at Prairie Creek Community School in Castle Rock, just outside of Northfield. We love the North Shore, the Minnesota Twins, and watching baking shows. We can't wait to welcome you to our farm!
How We Got Into Farming
Aaron grew up surrounded by farming, but never thought he’d want to be a farmer. After graduating college, Aaron joined the Peace Corps and was sent to Bulgaria where he served in Borino, a remote mountain village, for two years. Most of the food he ate was grown by people in the village or gathered from the surrounding forest. Going mushroom hunting in the forest with friends, gathering eggs from the barn, making yogurt from the milk of his host family’s cow, and helping slaughter a lamb for the winter’s meat supply, Aaron saw food for what it is - something that brings people together and nourishes our communities, bodies, and souls.
Over the last 10 years, we've slowly transformed the gentle, rolling terrain of our farm from a field of corn and soybeans into a luscious, fruitful landscape. Our farm is blanketed with rows of organic blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries - along with pumpkins, potatoes, and native prairie strips - to provide you with both amazing tasting fruit and a beautiful and peaceful landscape to enjoy with your friends and family. We look forward to seeing you soon out on the Little Hill.
