NEW this year we are offering seed potatoes. We had so much fun last year growing potatoes, that we thought you might like to grow potatoes in your garden as well!

These seed potatoes are certified organic and come from nearby Wisconsin from the same place we buy seed potatoes for our farm.

1 pound of seed potatoes translates to an 8 to 10 feet of row in your garden. You cut seed potatoes into 1.5oz to 2oz pieces with each piece having at least one eye. In general, smaller pieces will give fewer, larger potatoes and larger pieces will give more, smaller potatoes. Typical spacing is 1 foot per plant.  These plants will be available starting Friday, May 12th at the farm. We are sorry but we cannot ship plants.

This year we are offering the following varieties:

Oneida Gold: A newer variety from the Wisconsin Spudpro program. It has a bright yellow skin with slight netting and medium yellow flesh. It is similar in size, shape and eating qualities to Yukon Gold. It is much more resistant to many potato diseases than Yukon Gold in our Midwestern climate.

Goldrush Russet: A fresh market russet with good flavor. It has an attractive appearance with very few defects and shallow eyes. Very good for baking or frying.

Adirondack Blue: A purple skinned potato with dark purple flesh. Maintains its color after cooking. We grew this at our farm last year and it was our highest yielding potato. It is high in antioxidants.

Dark Red Norland: An excellent early season potato with red skin and white flesh. They are a great choice to harvest as "new potatoes." Produces both boiler and baker size tubers. Narrow in-row spacing, around 6 inches, will produce high yields of smaller potatoes.
